4days Mount Meru Climb

Mount Meru is Tanzania's second highest peak at 4566m. You climb up and down on the same route with spectacular and diverse views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Ngorongoro highlands and the whole of Arusha town. Huts are available along the route for accommodation. 

Day 1: Arusha - Miriakamba Hut
At 8:00am you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha town and transferred 30km to Momela Gate which is the starting point of the climb. We ascend the mountain up to the Miriakamba hut where we have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Miriakamba - Sadle hut
After breakfast, we continue to trek up the mountain up to the Saddle hut. There is game to be seen during the ascent. An armed ranger will be the main guide on this climb. We take dinner and stay overnight at Saddle hut.

Day 3: Sadle - Summit - Miriakamba Hut

Early morning call to begin the final ascent to the summit at 4566m. We descend back to the Saddle hut for lunch. After lunch we continue climbing down as far as the Miriakamba hut, where we have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Miriakamba - Momela Gate- ARUSHA
Leave after breakfast for the trek back to Momela Gate. Here, all those who have been successful will be awarded certificates. Transfer back to Arusha.
