7days Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro

BuffaloDay 1: Arusha - Manyara

Depart for Lake Manyara. We take dinner and stay overnight at the Kirurumu tented camp

Day 2: Manyara - Serengeti

After breakfast at 7:00 am we go for a morning game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park to look for tree climbing lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, monkeys and giraffes. The park is also a haven for birdlife. At 11:00am we leave the park for lunch at the lodge.  At 1:00 pm we depart for the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight stay are at the Ikoma tented camp.

Day 3: Full day in Serengeti

Today, after breakfast, we enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park to look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and many other animals. We will have all meals and stay overnight at the Ikoma tented camp.

Day 4: Serengeti - Ndutu Area

Early morning game drive (before breakfast) and morning game drives in the Serengeti National Park. We will have lunch at the lodge. After lunch we drive via the Ndutu area to the southern tip of the Serengeti at the border between Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We take dinner and stay overnight at  the Savana camp in Ndutu.

Day 4:  Ndutu - Ngorongoro

After breakfast we go for a morning game drive in the Ndutu area. At about 1;00pm we depart for Ngorongoro, passing  Olduvai Gorge en route. Olduvai Gorge is the prehistoric site where Dr. Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Homo habilis ("Handy man") regarded as mankind's first step on the path of human evolution. We will have dinner and stay overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge on the Crater Rim.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast at 6:00am we descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) into the crater floor with a picnic lunch . Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact calderas in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. All the BIG FIVE:-- Rhino, lions, leopard, buffalo and elephants live in this wonderful caldera.  Others inhabitans include zebra, hippos, Wildebeest and hyenas. Flamingos inhabit the soda lake. Geese, storks and vultures ar also found here. We will have d inner and stay overnight at the  Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge on the crater rim.

Day 7: Arusha

After breakfast at 8:30am we drive back to Arusha.
