Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire
We depart for the Tarangire National Park. We take dinner and stay overnight at the Tarangire River tented campsite.
Day 2: Game drives Tarangire Park
Today breakfast is at 8:00am, after which we have morning and afternoon game viewing in the Park. Look out for lions, elephants, lesser kudu, eland, gerenuk and tree climbing pythons. Baobab trees are scattered everywhere in the park. We will have dinner and stay overnight at the Tarangire River campsite.
Day 3: Manyara Tarangire - Manyara
After breakfast we take a short game drive in the park before driving out to Lake where we have lunch at the Kirurumu tented lodge. At 3:00pm we go for afternoon game viewing in the Lake Manyara National Park to look for tree climbing lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, monkeys, giraffes and native bird species. At 6:00pm we leave the park for the Kirurumo tented camp where we have dinner before retiring.
Day 4: Manyara - Serengeti
After an early breakfast at 7:00am we take a morning game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park. Look out for tree climbing lions, buffalos, elephants, hippos, monkeys, giraffes and native birds. About 11:00am we leave the park for the Kirurumu camp where we have lunch. At 1:00pm we depart for the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight accommodation are at the Ikoma tented camp.
Day 5 & 6: Full day in Serengeti
Today, after breakfast, we enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park. Look out for lions, cheetahs, leopard, elephants, herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and many other animals. We will have all meals at the Ikoma tented camp and stay there overnight.
Day 7: Serengeti - Ngorongoro
We breakfast at 8:00am and depart for Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is the prehistoric site where Dr. Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Homo habilis ("Handy man") regarded as mankind's first step on the path of human evolution. We arrive in Ngorongoro for lunch. Later we have dinner followed by an overnight stay at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge on the crater rim.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
After an early breakfast at 6:00amh we descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) into the crater floor for game drives. Lunch is a picnic in the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact calderas in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. All the BIG FIVE:- Rhinos, lions, leopard, buffalo and elephants live in this wonderful caldera. Other inhabitants include zebras, hippos, wildebeest, hyenas and native birds. Flamingos dwell on the soda lake and you may see geese, storks and vultures. We will have dinner and stay overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge on the crater rim.
Day 9: Arusha
We have breakfast at 8:30am before driving back to Arusha.
